Why Ya Rabb
The album behind the album.
Ya Rabb began the way most honest things begin — quietly, in a season that asked more than it gave. It was not written to be performed. It was written to be survived.
Each phase of the album corresponds to a state I had to walk through: the recognition of the self, the surrender of trying to fix it alone, the alignment with what is true, and finally the trust that any rising is given — never taken.
Ya Rabb is not a phrase here. It is a posture. A way of standing toward the One who is closer than the breath. Every track is a different angle of that same standing.
The world rarely asks us to be still anymore. This album was made for the moments when we are willing to be — even briefly.
If something here meets you in the middle of your own journey, then it has done what it was meant to do.
